Pauline Marie Jaricot, Pray for Us

Lord Jesus Christ You came into the world that we may have life and have it to the full.

Pauline Marie Jaricot devoted herself to sharing in your work, establishing the Society for the Propagation of the Faith for all who do not know of this life, and the Living Rosary for those who desire it more abundantly.

Venerable Pauline, you who consecrated your life to spreading the kingdom of heaven by serving God and His people, intercede for us that God may (make your intention).

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who is Lord for ever and ever.

Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.

Venerable Pauline, mother of poor debtors, pray for us. Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Amen.

Pray to Pauline Jaricot

Today, we celebrate the 150th anniversary of Venerable Pauline Marie Jaricot's birth into eternal life (1799-1862). She was a holy and generous soul who suffered much, but was given great gifts of touching hearts, a holy understanding of God's love and most virtuous grace. Pauline dedicated her life to helping others, starting the Society for the Propagation of the Faith and the Association of the Living Rosary. Her healing through the intercession of Saint Philomena in Mugnano, Italy, in 1835 is a beautiful miracle of faith. Read more about Pauline's life, her work and her passion for the missions of the Church -- her quest to "love without measure…without end." Let us pray to her and imitate her faith.

Prayer to Our Friend, Pauline Jaricot

Almighty and merciful God, who has chosen a humble virgin, Pauline of Jesus Christ, the poor one of Mary, to found the great Catholic works of the Propagation of the Faith and the Living Rosary, and who has wished in the midst of humiliations, trials and persecutions to purify her works, deign to hasten the day when Holy Mother the Church will publicly recognize her saintly life. We pray that by her example of patience and love for the Cross, her lifetime prayer may be realized: the Universal propagation of the Faith in all its purity. Amen.
