Let Go of Anger

Holding on to anger and resentment is a big mistake. Instead of helping a bad situation, being angry for days, weeks or years makes the matter worse and causes even more suffering, especially to the person who is angry. This reading from Sirach explains that if you want Divine Mercy and forgiveness for yourself from God, it is YOU must show it. So let it go to save your own soul. These Sunday Mass readings will help you

Sirach 27:30—28:7

Wrath and anger are hateful things, yet the sinner hugs them tight.

The vengeful will suffer the LORD’s vengeance, for he remembers their sins in detail.

Forgive your neighbor’s injustice; then when you pray, your own sins will be forgiven.

Could anyone nourish anger against another and expect healing from the LORD?

Could anyone refuse mercy to another like himself, can he seek pardon for his own sins?

If one who is but flesh cherishes wrath, who will forgive his sins?

Remember your last days, set enmity aside; remember death and decay, and cease from sin!

Think of the commandments, hate not your neighbor; remember the Most High’s covenant, and overlook faults.

Prayer to Our Lady of Sorrows

If anyone understands the value of suffering, it's Mother Mary. She suffered for the love of her Son and the Father.
A byproduct of love is suffering because we care so deeply for someone else and share in sadnesses, trials and sorrows. In sorrow and suffering comes an abundance of grace. So understand that good can come from sorrow if we trust in Jesus.

Prayer
Our Mother of Sorrows, with strength from above you stood by the cross, sharing in the sufferings of Jesus, and with tender care you bore him in your arms, mourning and weeping.

We praise you for your faith, which accepted the life God planned for you.

We praise you for your hope, which trusted that God would do great things in you.

We praise you for your love in bearing with Jesus the sorrows of his passion.

Holy Mary, may we follow your example, and stand by all your children who need comfort and love.

Mother of God, stand by us in our trials and care for us in our many needs. Pray for us now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
